By car from North

M6 and M69 From the M6 leave at junction 2 and follow the A4600 towards Coventry City Centre. Turn left at the third roundabout (situated approximately a quarter of a mile past Walsgrave Church) onto Clifford Bridge Road (A4082). The entrance to University Hospital is on the left-hand side. As you enter the main University Hospital site follow the road straight ahead. At the third island turn left, following the signposts. The Meriden Hospital is situated to the left of the University Hospital.

The Meriden Hospital has a free private car park for Circle Health Group  staff, patients and their visitors. The car park is ANPR monitored, and each vehicle must be registered at reception per visit upon arrival.

 A receptionist will ask you to state your vehicle registration and this will enable you to park free of charge. This process must be completed each time you arrive and leave the hospital. Failure to undertake these steps will result in a £100 parking fine.

If you receive a fine and believe it is an error, please call the hospital in the first instance.

By car from South

M40 From M40 leave at junction 15 and take the A46 (Warwick by-pass) then follow signs towards the M69. Continue along the A46 to the second roundabout on the Eastern by-pass and turn left onto the A4082. Continue along the A4082 and turn right onto Clifford Bridge Road. Follow this road for three-quarters of a mile. University Hospital is situated on the right-hand side and can be accessed by a signposted slip road. As you enter the main University Hospital site follow the road straight ahead. At the third island turn left, following the signposts. The Meriden Hospital is situated to the left of the University Hospital.

  • You will need to call the hospital you have booked your appointment with. To do this, you can find the phone number to your hospital on your appointment letter. 

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.

      At The Meriden Hospital, our private hospital facilities cater for you in Coventry, Nuneaton and Rugby, as well as the surrounding areas. We offer a wide range of private treatments, including private hip and knee surgery, as well as glaucoma and cataract surgery.

      There are 52 bedrooms in our hospital, each one offering complete privacy and comfort. Rooms are equipped with broadband Internet access, and a modern in-house entertainment system.

      • Three operating theatres (all with laminar flow ultra clean air systems)
      • Endoscopy suite
      • Dedicated ophthalmology room

      A catering team is in place for your culinary needs with menus devised to give choice and variety. Should you require a special diet, our Head Chef will be happy to accommodate.
