About us
We are a large hospital, with 18 consulting rooms, 78 patient beds and four operating theatres, including three laminar flow theatres. Our diagnostic imaging department hosts the latest advanced technology including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI scanning and Mammography. Princess Margaret is also the only private hospital in Windsor to offer a paediatric unit. We have a team of expert consultants who provide professional and compassionate care to children and young people for a vast range of conditions.
As well as advanced imaging and paediatrics, our private services include:
- Breast screening and specialist rapid access breast clinic
- JAG accredited endoscopy suite
- Orthopaedic services including robotic joint replacement surgery
- Oncology centre
- Opthalmology services
- Minor procedure unit
- Physiotherapy and sports injuries
- Spinal service
- Pain management clinic
- Private GP services
We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and cared for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital, which will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.
Investing in our future
At Princess Margaret Hospital, we continuously strive to improve our services and patient experience. In 2026 the hospital we are investing into improvements across services including:

- Upgrades and refurbishments to the patient serving servery on floor one
- New and improved flooring in ground floor theatres
- New heating pumps installed to improve airflow
- Digital X-Ray Replacement
Parking
We offer free parking for patients and visitors at The Princess Margaret. We now have a ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition system) in our car park, which has been installed for additional safety and security and all patients and visitors. All patients and visitors are required to ensure they enter their vehicle registration details at one of the terminals located inside the hospital.
If you do not register your vehicle then you will be issued with a fixed penalty. Please ask a member of staff or the reception staff for further assistance if needed.
Official Healthcare Partner
We are proud to be the official healthcare provider for Maidenhead RFC. As their official provider, Princess Margaret Hospital offers direct support to the health and wellbeing of the Maidenhead Rugby Club players, helping them get back into the sport they love, quickly.
Your pre-operative assessment
As part of your pre-operative assessment, you might need to complete an online health questionnaire. This will help you prepare for surgery and minimise any unnecessary travel to the hospital.
If we have your mobile number, we will send you a secure text message from Circle with a link to the online health questionnaire for you to fill out. Alternatively, you will receive an email from Ultramed, our partner in managing online health questionnaires. You can rest assured that the link is secure, and only the healthcare professionals directly involved in your care will be able to access your information.
We kindly encourage you to complete the health questionnaire as soon as you receive the link. After completing the questionnaire, you will be contacted promptly by a member of our team and advised on the next steps of your journey. If you experience any difficulties or are unable to complete the health questionnaire using the link, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01753 336457. Our pre-operative assessment team is here to support you.
Community fundraising
Each year we support and contribute to the fundraising of vital hospices and charities in Windsor, Berkshire and surrounding areas, including Alexander Divine and The Windsor Homeless Project. Please reach out to a member of staff if you would like to find out more about our upcoming charity work.
